This is Grop. It will come into your garden -or your house, if you leave a window open- and look at you hopefully until you give in and give it a hug. I advise doing this sooner rather than later – Grop is rather large and doesn’t smell particularly lovely.

So this week I learned that when they have that wonky sort of one-sided tree in a Chinese garden, it’s actually a Welcoming Tree giving you a one-armed hug! Awww.

Also, in my garden, if the Welcoming Tree misses you, a Hug Monster will get you instead.

Monsters wearing crazypants are the friendliest

The good thing about crazy pants is that a) they attract monsters and b) they can cover your bicycle well, leaving less for me to draw!

Wearing eyeball patterned clothes tends to fuddle bicycle-eaters. Don’t tell anyone.

So I want to get better at drawing bicycles, and in order to do so I intended to start a Bicycle Drawing Week today – but then a monster devoured my first attempt.

This happens a lot.
