More ghosts

04_03_2016My living room windowsill is also thronged with inoffensive ghosts. Well, ghost. It was supposed to be a Halloween decoration but is so intensely cute no one has the heart to put it back into its box…

Also, I should mention that the monsters who live with the ghost have pressable stomachs you can use to shoot their eyeballs across the room, making them possibly the coolest things on the planet. Honestly, if some kind of world-destroying robot visits Earth and demands a reason to spare us, those monsters will be mine!

03_02_2016If you just take the first three stanzas of Longfellow’s Haunted Houses, it’s one of my current favourites (whyyyy can the man not STOP…), and the guests at table is probably my favourite line:

There are more guests at table, than the hosts
Invited; the illuminated hall
Is thronged with quiet, inoffensive ghosts,
As silent as the pictures on the wall.

I love that sense of creepy domesticity!

No Hugs!

So, in celebration of the end of Hug Month and in honour of the tentaclemonsters in our lives, and also because I nearly forgot about posting and would rather obsessively retrace my current-project-drawing than do a doodle today, here is No Hugs! A guestdoodle by A Boy.
